I recently had the incredible opportunity to be a guest speaker on the Awake and Sober Podcast, a heartfelt show dedicated to exploring life in recovery through Christ.
First off, a huge thank you to the team at Awake and Sober for having me on. It was an honor to share my journey and connect with such a passionate community. For those of you who haven't tuned in yet, let me give you a little sneak peek into our conversation.
In this episode, we delved into some pretty deep topics—faith, surrender, and the transformative power of Jesus Christ. My path to recovery hasn't been a straight line (whose ever is?), but it has been guided by a steadfast belief that with faith, anything is possible.
We talked about the importance of community and support, something I can't emphasize enough. Surrounding yourself with people who uplift you and believe in your potential can make all the difference. I shared personal stories, laughed a bit, and even got into the nitty-gritty of what it means to truly surrender and trust in a higher power.
One of the most powerful aspects of recovery is the sharing of stories. When we open up about our struggles and triumphs, we not only heal ourselves but also offer a beacon of hope to others. I shared some of the darkest moments of my journey, the steps I took to climb out of that darkness, and how faith was my guiding light.
It's moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. My goal is always to inspire and uplift others, particularly those young men out there navigating the challenging waters of staying clean & sober.
