When you battle addiction you battle your thinking the most after the physical body heals. Addiction requires your brain to have one way to solve your problems, using. To truly recover we have to change our mindset, the way we make decisions, the way we process emotions, and how we see the world and our place in it. You do this by constantly challenging how you are feeling, using suggestions to make small progress. A strong community helps make this happen. We can’t recover alone!

For those in or seeking recovery, self exploration is a critical and necessary skill to reinforce sobriety and combat old behavior. Many people in active addiction lose sight of their interests, passions, values, even dislikes. When they start their recovery process, they often have no boundaries, no idea what makes them happy anymore, and no concept of where to begin rebuilding themselves.

Learn to Live Recovery fosters our resident's self exploration by designing the first milestone of the program to encourage reflection, minimize distraction and increase their self-awareness. Once residents rediscover themselves, they are on their way to a complete lifestyle change, one of recovery and self-assurance.
