The CNS Alfred Was the first American flagship. Converted from a merchantman into a light frigate, ALFRED became the first flagship of the new Continental Navy in 1775, flying the Grand Union flag of the United Colonies.
This is a wooden ship kit for expert modelers, especially those who love the challenge of square riggers. Based upon the research of Larry Arnot, the instruction book is a textbook on the details of 18th century naval design and outfitting.
