Description
The MLS-1O4G Series Provides two advantages and integration to an stand-alone optical fiber Network Un-Manager switch for 4 x 10/100/1000Base-T. This Fiber Manager Switch with its idea functions Smart Link ability of selecting either 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X on the fiber port, using the SFP module. With this converter the FTTx networks can grow from today's need of 100Mbps to tomorrow's need of 1Gbps - without the need of physically upgrading the converter. Simply exchange the 100 Mbps SFP in the access node switch with a 1Gbps SFP (the access node switch must of course support Gbps speed). The converter will then automatically select the higher speed - and you now have a full featured Gbps network all the way to the end-user.
