Here is one: Real Estate Agents charging the Homeowner to list or process a short sale.
Please do not pay to a Real Estate Agent to list your short sale, there is no charge to list properties, that is so unethical, to ask for front money, to somebody that can't even pay her/his Mortgage, and do not pay someone to process your short sale either, The Banks, your financial institution has its own department that handles that. Why should you pay, for something that is already offered for free?, you just need to call your bank and try to work together to avoid a foreclosure. Do you think your bank would like to foreclose on you? NO!, although to close a Short Sale is not easy, the third party (your Bank) must agree first, with the selling price. As is not easy to do a loan modification either, the bank is going to ask you to provide paperwork, is a tedious process, but if you can prove that you really can't afford to make your current payments, your Bank might make possible a loan modification if you qualify, and you could keep your home.
Or you could sell your house (do a short sale perhaps), based on the current market price, and avoid foreclosure, if the bank approves the sale, and all the criteria is met. Lets work together, your Bank, your Professional Real Estate Agent and You, my Dear Homeowner, lets lessen a little the huge weight that our Nation's economy has under its shoulders, with less foreclosure rates. But little by little we can make a big difference. DON'T WE?
